I'm excited to share with you my interactive map of the most Instagrammable sites in Girona city. But this project isn't just about pretty pictures; it's about exploring our relationship with images and social media.
As a society, we spend a lot of time online and often get caught up in the cycle of validation through likes and followers. I wanted to create a space for reflection on this topic and encourage you to think about how you interact with social media.
In addition to the map with some amazing locations in Girona, you'll find thought-provoking questions to consider, as well as tips for using social media in a healthy and mindful way.
That's me!
My name is Eva Robert Ruiz and I am an avid social media user, particularly on Instagram. I enjoy exploring alternative places and capturing moments through photography.
Although I am not originally from Girona, I have fallen in love with the city and its numerous amazing spots to visit and photograph.
Contrary to popular belief, I don't think that social media is all bad. In fact, it can be a great tool to connect with people, share experiences, and express creativity. However, I also believe it is important to reflect on the impact of social media on our lives and question our relationship with the images we take and share online.
Currently, I am studying Sociocultural Entertainment, which has further fueled my interest in the intersection of social media and culture. This project has not only allowed me to create an interactive map of Girona's most Instagram-worthy locations but also prompted me to think critically about the ways in which we use social media.
